I think it's a shame that 'being part of a fandom' often means nothing other than writing in it, or producing art for it - I think every fan, no matter how they decide to be a fan, is worth being considered.

Me too! I used to get really irked by this attitude. Well, I still am, but now apparently I am writing fic. IDEK how that happened. o_O
