I wrote 200 words on my white_lotus assignment today! Yay! (I've been avoiding it). It is now the longest fic I've ever written, and is nowhere near done. (Eep!)

Its going alright. Fought boredom waiting for a meeting by trying to event uses an evil genius might have for a time machine. Little of it is plot-worthy but it was fun.

How about a discussion question on 'Where do you squeeze bits of writing in to your life?

No new words, but I'm continuing to edit the ficlet that I worked on yesterday for eastasianfandomgiftbag. I think it's close to being ready to post/gift! Hopefully tomorrow -- I am way too tired right now to be able to do final edits in any case, & my fic always is better for me sleeping on it first before posting!

Set myself another deadline, failing spectacularly. Fic wants to take some detours before getting to the relevant part. (If this turns out like last time, where I never even got to write the parts I started the fic for, I'm going to have a minor crisis.)

It's alright I guess. Got a few more words on my big bang, and also typed up some more of the older handwritten parts for it. I also scribbled a few notes for a prompt fic but that's about it. Had an appointment that went for a lot longer than I thought it would do, so that cut into my writing time. Upside is that uni is over now till the end of January - so lots of writing time.

450 words of yuletide!!!!! Admittedly most of it is crap and I'm a bit scared at how long it is going to turn out but words! on paper!!!!

Able to get some of the eight chapter of my Big Bang edited before going to work. Still got some time left so I might do more of it tonight after dinner and watching TV.

Today I got about 650 words written, which pleasantly surprised me. I might've said this before, but Tuesdays are usually awful writing days for me. So that's pretty awesome. And I finished a scene that I thought was going to be very difficult for me with what turned out to be minimal fuss. Of course, I'm dreading when I will inevitably have to go back and reread it later, because if it sucks and I have to scrap it I may cry.

Editing is good and necessary, so good for you for plowing through it.

Sometimes detours are important--stuff you need to know for the story even if you don't include it. Sometimes it's the story's way of letting you know you need to consider other things.

The words still count. :)
