WIP Challenge: Sunday (Day 25)

Good morning!  I'm psyco_chick32 and I'll be checking in with you guys as we wrap up this month's WIP challenge!!

How's everybody doing today?  Word Count?  *points to icon* Is this a common thought lately?  Let us know in the comments!!


Also, let's talk about Descriptive Writing.
"Substitute 'damn' every time you're inclined to write 'very'; your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be." ~ Mark Twain.

Do you love adverbs and adjectives?  Do you make an effort not to use them?  Obviously, descriptors can add a lot of word padding when you're desperately trying to hit a goal (**cough** NANO **cough**) - is that a "trap" you've fallen into?

I wrote ~900 words for a fic I've been working on for months -- it's taken a back seat for the past several weeks as I worked on exchange stuff instead, but the exchange went live this weekend. It felt good to get back into the fic -- the scene I drafted replaces another one in there & I think it's much stronger. There's still a lot to do on that fic before it can be posted, but progress after such a break is great!

I try to minimize adverbs but I think there is a place sometimes for them. I do like adjectives!
