Today's discussion: 'ship jumping (all flavours - het, slash, OTP, OT3 and anything else that is shipped that I've forgotten about)

[Unexpectedly jump ships (Fanfic flamingo) “Damn my fickle heart!”]

Do you ever do this? Do you find it easy or hard to get back to the 'ship you abandoned?

I tend to jump ships -- or rather, to get caught up in a new ship and have the "old" ship move to the back burner for a while, until I have the creative energy to return to it again.

I can't think of a single ship I've had that I couldn't go back to at some point. :)

Heh, it's the same for me -- short of a massive Heel Face Turn on the part of one character, rendering them no longer of interest or no longer feasible match for the other character, I just don't drop my pairings!

Sometimes I discover a new one, and the rest get bumped out of sight for a while, but they always come back!
