Discussion: Plot holes in canon, compelled to fix them in fic (fanfic flamingo)
Picture of a flamingo's head on a pink background with the white text plot holes in canon compelled to fix them in fic

When you find a plot hole(s) in your canon do you write a fix-it fic or do you ignore it?

For some reason plot holes and canon mistakes spark my creativity a little more than other canon elements, including the shipper stuff and I tend to write fix-it and missing scenes for the times canon fails especially on the long running TV series that I write fic for.

I also tend to write fix-it fic as well. Currently I've got to go through a Burn Notice fic where I'm fixing huge gaps in the series finale, and I'm also intrigued in writing fic to fix a lot of Sleepy Hollow's canon.
