I sort of thought about my fic once or twice, but then got caught up in boring Real Life stuff.

What got me started writing was getting involved in an online community related to my favorite fandom where others were sharing some of their thoughts in the form of discussion as well as fanfic, and I was inspired to put some of what I wished had been written (but wasn't) into writing for myself. Then I shared it in the community, and that got the ball rolling. :-)
