Check-In – Day 20

"You turn the page, you wash your hands. You turn the page, you wash your hands."
Rocko's Modern Life

What have you been doing today?

— Thinking. Maybe a little, maybe a lot.
— Writing.
— Planning and / or researching.
— Editing.
— Sending things to the beta.
— Posting!
— Relaxing, taking a break, etc.
— Other stuff-ing. Look at the comment.

Question for today: Do you ever flip a coin, roll a die, etc. when you are not sure what you should do next in a story?

Definitely did some thinking. It's probably too late in the day for me to get some writing in, though I did get some done yesterday! I've never tried the "flip a coin/roll a die" method to advance a story, but I wouldn't rule it out.

I did a little writing and will likely do a little more before calling it a night.

The only writing-related thing I've been doing is backing up my writing in a online account I forgot I had. Our discussion the other day about keeping back ups made me think it was a good idea to put my stuff in the Cloud somewhere. Almost done with that, after which I'll be free to stop procrastinating and write the fic that is due for a challenge tomorrow.

I have to admit, I have never flipped a coin or rolled a die. If I discover I don't know what to do next, I make an outline and that usually gets my ideas going.
