August WIP challenge - day 1 check-in!

How's the fic going today? Are you writing/editing/sending to beta? Researching? Resting on your laurels? Procrastinating? Did you post something?

To start off the month, tell us about the fic(s) you'll be working on! Some of you did that a little bit yesterday, but feel free to go into more detail: What do you think will be trickiest to work on? What are you looking forward to? Scared of?

I was resting on my laurels yesterday. :-D And I have to say, it's nice to be able to say that.

However, that said, I don't want to waste any more of the new writing month. This month I'll be working on two fics. The first is LotR, and I'm looking forward to picking that one up and running with it after having it be stalled for awhile. The Big Bang I just finished had some similar characters, and writing that got me in the mood for working on this other one again.

The second fic I'll be picking up again is Major (anime/manga). I think I'll start by doing some mood-setting research (i.e., rewatching the anime and watching some RL baseball), but I hope to be able to pick up where I left off without too much trouble.

My main fear is that things will be back to normal again after 10 days off and I don't want the busyness and stress of work and life to affect my writing like it was. :-)

Yaaaay Major fic! The canon refresh for that one should be fun -- RL baseball, hooray!

I hope that all the stuff that made your schedule so hectic recently doesn't rear its head again, & you're able to get some writing in!
