Good evening, everyone! (Well, it's evening for me--consider this good morning or afternoon for your time zones.) How has your fic writing gone so far today? Or if you haven't made it to a writing point yet today, how did yesterday go?

-I wrote something
-I edited
-I posted today!
-I did some plotting/planning/research
-I sent things to my beta
-I took a break
-I dealt with life stuff

Discussion: Do you find that rewatching/reading the canon material for your fanfic helps you write, or gets in the way?

I'm still frantically trying to keep up with life - haven't written in a week! :( I'm hoping by the end of this one I'll have the time.

It really depends on the canon for me too - if I already have the canon feel in my head, reviewing canon is just a waste of time and can stifle my writing urge. Some canons, otoh, I need to get the tone, canon details, etc. in my head first, and reviewing is the best way to do that.
