October WIP challenge signups!

Where is this year going, I ask?!? It's time for signups for the October WIP challenge.

(& if you've completed a fic through the challenge, don't forget our collection on AO3! If you need AO3 invites, let me know.)

We do have writers who join the challenge midmonth, or comment on check-in posts without signing up, which is absolutely fine -- I'm glad there's a way for the challenge to be useful in a variety of ways!

But for those of you who find the commitment of officially signing up useful, please sign up as below.

Signups will be open until the end of September.

• Level of challenge: 1 chapter, 1000 words, 1 fic finished, whatever you like

• What you're looking for from the challenge: this could be as vague or specific as you like: someone to be accountable to, someone to remind you to write, someone to bounce ideas off, etc.

I couldn't continue to run this challenge without assistance with the daily check-in posts. Many thanks to everyone who's helped with the check-ins before!

Please let me know if you'd be interested in helping out. A week per person would be ideal, if possible (I usually assign weeks running Sunday-Saturday just for consistency, but if that's difficult let me know). Level of challenge: Two fics finished? I really need to get back in the swing of things. Actually, maybe that ought to be 3, because I think the amnesty period for poetry_fiction ends next month, & I really really super need to finish my remaining help_japan fic. & then it'd be nice to get another fic in there!

Fandom(s) involved: K-On! (if someone wants to nag me/chivvy me/cheerlead for this one -- my help_japan fic -- it would be great!), Otome Youkai Zakuro, & most probably Natsume Yuujinchou. Maybe Tumbling? I dunno.

Took a small break from challenge-based writing after wrapping up a Big Bang, but now I've got enough WIPs to go play again. :D!

Level of challenge: Finish a due South/Bandom fic (femslash) and work on a Bandom (MCR) giftfic. About 15 - 20k new words is what I'm aiming at. Or, you know, two finished fics. :)

Level of challenge: Want to finish up the fourth chapter of my Big Bang and then get Chapters 1-4 betaed and polish before I send them off to my potential artists. Also, THIS TIME I hope to finally get some time to plan for my second help_japan fic, one of the stories I plan to write for NaNoWriMo. Maybe also get through one or two story prompts I owe my friends. Wow, a lot of writerly stuff going on I plan this month. @_@
