I met my goal # of writing sessions for the month! I'm trying my hand at Get Your Words Out this year. I haven't made lots of progress, so it's really exciting to have reached the end of a month and met my goal. This also means I get my reward of making some boba, lol.

Congratulations on reaching your goal! You've definitely earned that boba.

Congrats! Keeping up with goals and consistency is hard work.

I'm a little curious, though, what is Get Your Words Out? Is there a community for it here? I want to work on my own writing consistency, too, and would love to know more about it.

Get Your Words Out is a year long writing event where participants 'pledge' to dofferent goals. There's even a dedicated website! Signups are closed for 2025, but they'll be open again in December!
Here's both the Dreamwidth community and the website:
https://getyourwordsout.dreamwidth.org/
https://www.getyourwordsout.net/

Part of the event includes check ins where you report your progress. There's no scoldings or such, they just use the data for community progress graphs & such.

I'm noooot super active on Dreamwidth, so I can't really tell you much about the community itself. They've got plenty of resources and discussions from past events, though.

I'd check it out! The community (on DW at least) seems relatively active, so there's a nice social aspect.

Thank you so much, that's really cool! Honestly I've been looking for an alternative to Nanowrimo ever since they came out in support of generative AI, so this is really helpful. I'll definitely tuck this away to sign up for next year!

I started a fluffy new series for a rarepair in one of my oldest fandoms this week. I've also made some pretty good progress on my GYWO goal, which I'm really pleased about. I think I've already beaten my word count for the last two years combined, lol.

The second installment of my April is the Cruelest Month prompts is done and dusted. I'm posting them early as I write them on my Dreamwidth Jounral (for some reason I just like writing directly in the post editor), but plan to post them to Tumblr and in the [community profile] danganronpa_alumni community on the days of.

It's the most consistent I've been with writing for a long time, so I hope I can keep this up. I'm kind of excited.
