Day 2 check-in!
It's already the weekend, hooray! Do you have any grand plans for your fic over the next few days?
It might be a bit too early for sharing snippets or asking for a beta if you've started a whole new fic, but I know a lot of us are working on WIPs: so please do share & request help if you like!

What'd you do on your fic today?

Snippet!
The door to Maedhros' apartments at the end of the corridor stood wide open, but even on the stairs below they could hear a woman's raised voice. There was only one person who had the audacity to treat the head of the House of Feanor to such opposition; healer Idhlinn.
"I do not care to listen to your excuses for refusing breakfast, Maitimo. You will need to eat if you mean to stomach the tea.Would you like me to list the components or are you content to believe that it will lessen the pain unless you retch it up again?"
Maedhros' voice was far quieter, if still loud enough to carry clearly. He sounded tired. "I would thank you to stop calling me by that name, Estelinde, as you know. Bring more tea, then consider yourself dismissed."
Asgarvain felt the urge to fetch her sword and vent her frustrations on the dummies in the training yard, and when she considered her companions they looked to be sharing at least the sentiment of getting away. While Handrin had flattened himself against the wall of the narrow staircase upon hearing the noise of Idhlinn's boots appproaching, Hwestonnen's hands had clenched into fists, and Asgarvain could see the grooves where his fingernails pressed into his palm.
He chose, to her surprise, to charge ahead, plowed up the stairs, shouldered past Idhlinn whose glare might have frozen anyone else, and into Maedhros' office. With a sigh, Asgarvain began moving after him, whether or not Handrin chose to follow. He would have done best staying out of this entirely, but even bowing out now would be better for him than following them. But his footsteps were following.
The moment she passed the door, Asgarvain dropped to one knee and bowed her head. "My lord Maedhros, forgive us the intrusion. We bring tidings about one of the Silmarils," she said, and waited for the explosion.

Anyway, further adventures wih 750words...
The site awards daily points: one if you write, another if you make 750 and a third if you do 750 in one go (not to mention a whole lot of others for days in a row). I'm trying to get the third daily point. I don't ususlly do as much as 750 in one go, I tend rather to write dribs and drabs all day, but I decided to make an effort and just keep going to try to get the third point - even though the point itself feels a rather silly thing. So I did the 750 in one go but there was no third point! So I'm slightly 'peeved' and feel all the more silly for that.
It might have been that I accidentally called up Mozilla spell check and it opened another window. I don't know. But I mean to find out!
Its absolutely not important and has nothing whatever to do with the fic, but anyway. It may well be the actual point of the thing.

Today I spent about 5 hours in the library getting more uni work done and since I've been home I've been working on fic and finalising the plans for mum and Brian's visit in 2 weeks :)
Having that break from it all has helped kick-start my brain again, always a good thing.
