It's already the weekend, hooray! Do you have any grand plans for your fic over the next few days?
It might be a bit too early for sharing snippets or asking for a beta if you've started a whole new fic, but I know a lot of us are working on WIPs: so please do share & request help if you like!

Date: Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 18:06 (UTC)Anyway, further adventures wih 750words...
The site awards daily points: one if you write, another if you make 750 and a third if you do 750 in one go (not to mention a whole lot of others for days in a row). I'm trying to get the third daily point. I don't ususlly do as much as 750 in one go, I tend rather to write dribs and drabs all day, but I decided to make an effort and just keep going to try to get the third point - even though the point itself feels a rather silly thing. So I did the 750 in one go but there was no third point! So I'm slightly 'peeved' and feel all the more silly for that.
It might have been that I accidentally called up Mozilla spell check and it opened another window. I don't know. But I mean to find out!
Its absolutely not important and has nothing whatever to do with the fic, but anyway. It may well be the actual point of the thing.

You are much more observant/persistent in figuring things out than I!!! I'm sorry you were robbed of that 3rd point though! If it does end up being some kind of recurring bug, you could ask the site owner to look into it & perhaps give you the points? I don't know if this has changed, but certainly a year or so ago he was v. responsive to bug complaints (people saying the site hadn't saved their words & thus their streak was falsely ruined, etc.) & willing to change people's stats if need be.

Date: Sunday, December 4th, 2011 22:00 (UTC)I don't actually give a hoot about having the points:) but they are interesting if the writing habit they are supposed to reward is something that would be good for me. Ive only been using 750w 'by the rules' for 4 days so I'm prepared to trust the program for the moment - unless it goes completely random.
Today (4/12) I got the third point and I think it might have something to do with typing speed because I was faster today and finished the 750 in 10 mins less than the last time even though I was active every minute on both occasions according to the stats. I also steered clear of Mozilla spell check and other windows.
So it seems to advocate quickness and evenness. Is this good for writing, I wonder. I suppose it depends on how much you know where you are going/how quick you think as you're writing.
Used like this 750w is more like Write or Die than the online notepad I used to use it as.
