I never made one of these… because I just realized I’d never ACTUALLY joined, just subscribed! D: Whoops!

I’m Captain! I don’t write anywhere near as much as I used to, but I’ve been dabbling again recently. My primary motivations when it comes to my work—be that art, writing, or anything else—is interaction with others. I love sharing my works with a community! But that’s been a bit more difficult these days.

There’s a list of my fandoms on my website! It’s not perfectly up-to-date but it’s got the gist of it!

I would love to write for some niche animanga, games, and other fandoms—and niche characters, like villains or side characters, to boot!— but I’d very much appreciate a beta reader(s). I know it’s the number one thing asked for.😅

Currently I’m working on Find Your Way, a Legend of Spyro post-canon fic centered around Cynder. I also occasionally write short stories for my OC anthology Outside of Ponyville. There’s also a lot of old, unfinished fics for fandoms like TFP and One Piece I’d like to revisit one day…

Anyway, thank you for giving this a read. Happy writing! 💜

My apologies for not properly introducing myself. Pleased to meet you all, I'm miscellaneous_section, and I enjoy writing for smaller and more niche fandoms. *points to my current icon* I'm currently obsessed with Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light, and I mainly write about the bad guy side of things. Personally, I think the open sandbox of the world the writers left behind is what drags me back into (along with experimenting with tropes that could fit with their magical alien planet, and it gives my brain a good scratch).

The issue I face a lot is compiling and sorting out my ideas (it feels like spitballing at times), and I hope to learn to better organize some concepts so I'm not going back-and-forth from researching to writing then back to researching and then to editing, and then back to writing. It gets a little discouraging when that happens. I have a few WIPs that are shelved for the time being, and I hope this group will help me make them completed projects.

When the fic is completed, I'm usually editing it as well. I hope to find a beta reader to act as a second pair of eyes, and to bounce around thoughts and ideas to make sense of the plot and other concepts.

In the meantime, thanks for having me here!

Help me, [community profile] writethisfanfic, you're my only hope.

I'm [personal profile] roane, and I'm getting sucked into writing fanfic for the first time in years and years. I never did it seriously before, although I did have hopes of writing professionally at one point, and have a lot of original fiction sitting around various computers to prove it. ;)

But, I've been bitten by the bug. Just in the past week or so, I've written two short bits (one for Doctor Who, and one for Sherlock), and I've written about 5,000 words of a crossover between the two.

I have no beta. And sometimes I think I have no idea what I'm doing. So, hi!

Hello community that I found in my random early morning wanderings of Dreamwidth!

I think that I must be cheating as technically I have written fanfiction before, but I have never written anything of decent length. So, please help me fix this.

a description of my fandoms )

Now onwards to the important bit: I am trying to write a Sherlock chapter fic. It's going to be based on book!canon and BBC series!verse, which means that I cannot tell you the premise or give you excerpts unless you have seen ALL of the BBC series up to the series 2 finale. This sort of puts me at a disadvantage as I desperately need some cheerleaders, and more importantly, a beta who will put up with my shoddy ability to hold POV beyond 2000 words.

If you have read all of this and would like to know more, I feel it would be best to set up some sort of PM conversation or e-mail thread. I do not wish to spoil anything for random fandom lurkers who may come across this community, as I did, at the wee hours of the morning.

Mostly I just want to tell someone my premise and have them tell me to stop writing (or continue, if you prefer)! Ta.

Greetings! I'm new here, and I have trouble writing. I bet you've never heard that one before! Getting ideas is no problem; they keep ambushing me where I least expect them. (No, brain, I don't need a wacky Princess Tutu/Yu-Gi-Oh! crossover adventure comedy about human sacrifice right now.) It's sitting myself down and concentrating on one project long enough to get it written.

Right now my main focus is--or would be, if I focused--a Western/Horror AU fic for Princess Tutu. Clearly this is the best idea in the history of thinking, and my story will be fantastic. I even know how it will end! I have a sequel half-planned! I just keep... not finishing the first chapter.

So I decided to join this community and complain a bit. I think I can do this if I stop waffling. Thank you for listening.

Hello *waves*

I've recently (as in: last week) made DW my primary blogging service rather than LJ, so I've decided to jump in with both feet and cut back on my presence as (and if) needed later. And once I found this community, well, I just had to join.

I write. A little. Fanfic, mostly, and most of it unfinished. My latest passion is *points at icon* Criminal Minds with Hotch/Reid as my primary pairing. But I have many and varied fandoms, and never really stop writing in any of them.

So, anyway. That was my introduction?

Hello everyone, I'm the third mod!

I'm Sibylle, Sib for short & please use female pronouns when talking about me. Up till a year ago I spent my days lurking but in August 2009 I decided to join LJ & participate as actively as I could (so I've been reading fanfictions since then). I joined Dreamwidth during Three Weeks for Dreamwidth.

bla bla, the rest under here )

Hi, I'm Drae, your not-antisocial-just-shy neighbourhood mod, and this is my intro post.

I got into fandom about ten years ago, when I was fifteen and still somewhat new to the ways of the internet. Back then in the olden days of the Web 1.0, getting something posted to an archive mostly required sending an email to the administrator, who did all the hard work.

Stories of old... )
