Intro hello!

Help me, writethisfanfic, you're my only hope.

I'm roane, and I'm getting sucked into writing fanfic for the first time in years and years. I never did it seriously before, although I did have hopes of writing professionally at one point, and have a lot of original fiction sitting around various computers to prove it. ;)

But, I've been bitten by the bug. Just in the past week or so, I've written two short bits (one for Doctor Who, and one for Sherlock), and I've written about 5,000 words of a crossover between the two.

I have no beta. And sometimes I think I have no idea what I'm doing. So, hi!

Ahhhh yes, the all important question. :) I love them all (that I've seen, at least. I'm working my way through the original series, but am still on William Hartnell--have seen bits of most of the others). Writing-wise, so far I've just written Eleven--or at least, I'm trying. ;)

It *is* kind of like; show me your Doctor and I'll tell you who you are. XD

I came in at 9, and haven't seen any old episodes. 9 is still my favorite, although 10 grew on me over the years. 11 is... Well, the actor's just too young for my tastes. He's good! But I just can't relate properly to him. :-(

Heh. I think my favorite is whoever I'm watching at the time! Of the new Doctors, I love Nine for his brooding and his manic outbursts, I love Ten for his beautiful angst and goofiness, and I love Eleven because I think he does "old soul with a young face" really well. I'm writing him right now just because that's where the series is, you know? I'd love to go back and try my hand at the others at some point. :)

Yes, please! I'm feeling a little stuck in my WIP, partly because I'm now convinced that my original idea for how to resolve it sucks, and also because I'm not sure if the other plotty ideas I have belong in a story of their own.
