I've had a really bad week of Real Life Busy, and today was the first day I had any time to even think about writing. I almost didn't bother, but made myself sit down and open up some of my files. I needed to figure out an idea for a Yule fic challenge, and I was actually able to do that -- and got some research done on it, too. So that's definitely progress, even if it's small progress.

Writing allows me to add in things that got passed over in canon, and spend time with characters that didn't get as much time as I wanted in the story. I also enjoy creating my own characters and have them fit comfortably into canon in such a way that I forget they weren't there in the first place!
