Date: Sunday, December 4th, 2011 21:52 (UTC)I enjoy telling stories that no one else is telling -- I realize that makes me sound like a special snowflake, but since I'm in all small fandoms & often go for rare pairings, sometimes it really is stuff that no one's going to write. :D I've also really been enjoying being able to write things for my friends; when I first started writing fic I didn't have fandoms in common w/lots of people, but now I do, somewhat. & Kaleidoscope in general was awesome for giving me opportunities to write for my friends!

Date: Sunday, December 4th, 2011 22:35 (UTC)I like doing things that others aren't doing, most of my fandoms are quite small these days but in the bigger fandoms I write the unusal/rare pairings rather than the pairings that everyone writes.

Date: Monday, December 5th, 2011 03:26 (UTC)Writing allows me to add in things that got passed over in canon, and spend time with characters that didn't get as much time as I wanted in the story. I also enjoy creating my own characters and have them fit comfortably into canon in such a way that I forget they weren't there in the first place!

I also like the way I seem to benefit mentally and emotionally from writing. I don't know why it happens, but the day after a productive writing session, I'm bulletproof.
