For today's discussion topic: Do you have a 'one true character' in your fandoms that you always find yourself coming back to write about, or are you pretty general in your character love?

I tend to be pretty general in terms of what characters I write in a given fandom. The closest I come to a favorite character is in the fandom I write the most, Weiss Kreuz, and I don't think Yohji is one of the leads in even half of my fics there. I tend to flit from fandom to fandom, so it's hard to spot trends.

::laughing:: I have a terrible tendency to write about everyone *but* the lead characters in show. (Miss Marple in my icon being one of my few exceptions, but I've only got one story I'm doing in that fandom, so who knows?)

I finished 2 fics today, both for prompt_in_a_box, which I'm pleased with. I'm going to give them a quick edit in the morning then post them.

My one true character is Lilly Rush on Cold Case but I rarely write her because I could never get her just right when I tried to. Most of the time I jump around fandoms and tend to just love nearly every character but I prefer to write the ones that don't get enough love from fandom as a whole.

I took the day off, and it was very nice. I actually have a challenge story due tomorrow, so I may still see if I can work it up and still be on time with it, but I need a day with no pressure, so maybe I won't. Maybe I'll edit instead and post an old chapter in a new archive. ;-)

My one true character is Boromir in the LotR fandom. He's in almost every story I write in that fandom. I do try to spread the love around a bit from time to time, but it always goes back to that one.

I take a rest.

I love a lot of characters, but I 'll write more about those I think I can catch their voice easily. Usually the stright-forward people.

Eh, pretty good today! Collaborated with a couple writing buddies in writing a hilarious trainwreck of a character meetup and it was a surprisingly painless endeavor, though we had to stop for today when Kit finally got fed up with her internet.

One true character... naaaah. I jump all over. I do have a one true time period for Bionicle (All hail '01! [Nostalgia goggles? Me? Never.]) but that's not the question.

Last night had finished a potential [community profile] cottoncandy_bingo story. I feel there are a couple parts that needs expanding so I'l do that later.

I don't really have a one true character. There might be characters I'll write more than others but I jump over to a variety of them.
