Today's discussion topic: What do you find easiest to write: description or dialogue? Do you tend to write that first to help out, or do you leave it to last so you can focus on what you find harder first?

For me, dialogue is much easier than description. I often bog down on descriptive passages and have to get past them by putting in a placeholder note such as "[describe room here]." I come back and hammer them out in rewrites. Dialogue tends to flow fairly easily.
