Discussion: New month. As we are at the start of a new month tell us, what are you going to be working on? What would you like to have done by the end of the month?

This month I'll mainly be working on my kids big bang and I would like to have around 1000 words on it, more if I can get past some science and maths things that I need to include for at least two scenes. Those scenes will be tricky because I have always struggled with both subjects.

I have loose writing goals this month, since strict goals haven't done me many favors in the past. I want to do some work on at least one of the long WIPs that I've neglected for so long. I want to write regularly, if not daily. And I have one one-shot WIP that's painfully close to conclusion that I want to polish and post.

I have 2 writing goals for this month:

1) work on my long-ish WIP tha tis self-driven. I have an unofficial deadline of mid-October (around my birthday), so I have to make steady progress if I am going to make that.

2) Write my complementary piece for the due South/Canadian 6 Degrees Big Bang. It is due October 7th. I won't get the primary vid until the end of the week, so I am hoping to make progress on 1) in the interim.

I need to work on my Fic Corner story, but I find myself wanting to pick up one of my other works in progress because it's better suited to my mood. I'm pushing through on Fic Corner, regardless, because it has a deadline, but various story fragments are calling my name. Maybe I can work on one (or more!) of them them after I finish the current project.

The Fic Corner story is due on the 22nd, so it will definitely be done by the end of the month.
