Discussion: deadlines. When you have deadlines, say for challenges, do you meet all of them? Some of them? None of them?

I tend to meet most of my deadlines for challenges, especially the weekly and monthly ones but I also seem to miss the ones that are several months after the initial sign ups.

Most of them. I meet deadlines for exchanges and ficathons, but I sometimes feel like I miss deadlines for big bangs, and I end up defaulting before the draft date.

Today I didn't write, but I think I figured out how to stitch a scene I wrote out of sequence into my WIP. And I've decided what I'm working on tomorrow.

I need to be badgered to keep up with deadlines. Communities or tumblrs with regular reminders, that sort of thing. Deadlines get me to write, but they don't always produce the best quality of writing.

I made some progress with real life things, but I'm not out of the woods yet, so getting time with my fic writing is going to be awkward for the time being. Still, hope springs eternal!

I am involved in monthly challenges that have deadline, but I sometimes don't meet them. The deadlines are helpful but not so rigid that you can't submit your story if you miss the deadline. I find this comforting -- usually I can meet the deadline, but if life happens and I can't finish my story, I can always submit it later. For the most part, though, I'm pretty good at getting things done on time.
