WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 26 -- Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday! What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
  •     I thought about my fic once or twice
  •     I wrote
  •     I did some planning and/or research
  •     I edited
  •     I've sent my fic off to my beta
  •     I posted today!
  •     I'm taking a break
  •     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Discussion: What reference tools do you use when doing research? Thesaurus? Google? Fandom-specific wikis? Book resources?

I did some more planning - need to listen to the canon chapter again, because I don't want to mix in extra details that come later in the story. I just can't get myself to put sentences of actual fic down.

Wrote a little today, and I think I may be finished with this fic by Thursday. Then all that will be left is editing and not chickening out before posting it.

For brushing up on canon I tend to use youtube and/or transcripts to focus on specific scenes. For more general research I tend to start with Wikipedia for links to more in-depth work, though if I have the time and energy I do like to visit the local library, especially if the subject is history or science. For spelling and grammar, I have a few reference books from high school and college that I still find useful. :)
