WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 1 -- Monday

Hello on Monday! What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
  •     I thought about my fic once or twice
  •     I wrote
  •     I did some planning and/or research
  •     I edited
  •     I've sent my fic off to my beta
  •     I posted today!
  •     I'm taking a break
  •     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Discussion:  When you are among those who are struggling with getting words down on paper/into your word processor, do you find it helpful to read the daily check-in post and see others who are also struggling?  On the other hand, when others are posting about their success and you're not having any, does it spur you on to keep plugging away, or is it actually a bit discouraging?

Did a post for Fan Flashworks that wasn't a drabble! That actually feels like a major accomplishment, though the end result was still under 1,000 words. ... Heading in the right direction, though.

And yes, I do find these daily check-ins helpful. Have to remember that we're all human, and almost all of us get blocked, don't have time or energy, etc.

I did a lot of editing today--I almost finished, but there are two paragraphs that I'm still wrestling with. I hope a night's sleep will lead to a fresh perspective when I take a crack at it tomorrow.

The check-ins and the comments have been very helpful so far! They make me want to keep making progress instead of giving up and remind me that any difficulties are temporary, not permanent.
