WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 11 -- Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?
  •     I thought about my fic once or twice
  •     I wrote
  •     I did some planning and/or research
  •     I edited
  •     I've sent my fic off to my beta
  •     I posted today!
  •     I'm taking a break
  •     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment
Tuesday Discussion - Have you ever run into the problem of discovering continuity errors in your story/chapter, after it has been posted/published?  How do you deal with that?

600 words already today, so hopefully this roll can continue. If it was a small error I'd correct it, but if it would mean a full rewrite I'd have to let it go. :) My betas usually have great eyes for continuity though.

Ugh. I haven't done half the writing I was hoping to the last couple of days, and I'm mildly pissed off about that. Partly letting myself get distracted, partly just general malaise of "second week blues" of Camp NaNo, but I am presently 7K behind on my word count of my original manuscript, and I have a fanfic to write with a deadline of Sunday. GRARGH.

I've only posted fanfic, and when I find continuity errors, I usually go and clean them up. It depends on the story, my estimate of the likelihood of someone spotting the error, and the effort that would be required to sort it out.

In a professional, published manuscript that has gone through the process, been published, and then you've discovered a continuity error, I imagine that the best you could do these days is put a note explanation on your author site. How the situation came about, and maybe a solution for your readers to justify that continuity error.

I posted a fic today.

Question: Stare in horror and edit like hell, hoping not too many people have noticed.
