WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 12 -- Wednesday

Hello on Wednesday! It's the middle of the week already, how did that happen? What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

• I did some planning and/or research
• I edited
• I've sent my fic off to my beta
• I posted today!
• I'm taking a break
• I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Wednesday Discussion - Errors, brought to us by the Fanfic Flamingo: Sometimes errors occur as we write that we miss until later, and then it's a huge burden to try to go back and repair the damage.  Does this happen to you?  How do you deal with it, and how do you prevent it?

The worst is when you discover this after you already posted! If it's not too many things to change, I go back and make the corrections. If it's huge (like changing tense midway) I make a note to fix it at a later point. Several of my WIPs are being reedited as I post them a chapter at a time at new archives, and this gives me the chance to repair mistakes of this kind. To prevent them, I self-edit continuously as I write!

Planning and fighting off fatigue today. Hoping for writing in the days to come.

I hate it when errors escape my notice. In my case, it is generally a missing word in a place that makes a whole sentence stop making sense, and those seem to happen regardless of how many passes I make. Frustrating! They also tend to get past my betas, too, when I have beta access.
