Discussion: notes and unfinished fics. Do you keep you notes and potentially unfinished fics to work on at a later date?

Heard back from the beta and went over it again with a fine tooth comb; should be posted by the weekend.

Any random idea I have, I record somehow. You never know which ideas will actually turn into something more. My "halfbakedideas" directory has unfinished stories going back over ten years, because I'm an eternal optimist pack rat.

I should also add that I recently completed and posted two stories that had languished in limbo for thirteen years. So never say die.

I ended up staying at work overtime yesterday, so didn't have much left for writing afterwards!

I write up all my story ideas and accompanying research and save them in folders on my computer. Some may never see the light of day as an actual story, but the idea is too good to drop or the research shows it's got merit and works as an idea. I might write them when I get caught up with other writing. In addition to the may-never-write folders, I have several story folders that are in process, and thus unfinished -- but I plan to finish them some day. I was very prolific with writing for awhile, but I've slowed way down lately, and can only really work on one thing at a time, pretty much!
