WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 21 -- Thursday

Hello on Thursday!  Sorry about yesterday getting lost in the shuffle!  What kind of a writing day has it been today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet?

•     I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

The only writing planned for today is a final edit on my Yule Fic for an exchange I'm taking part in.

I used to send my work to a beta before posting, but now I just beta everything myself. I edit multiple times as I write, and then do a final one before posting. I'm usually happy with it by then, and the only time I go back to correct things is if I discover a typo.

Came down with a cold, for the first time in many years. Feeling a tiny bit better today, but probably won't be trying to write til tomorrow.

I like having beta readers/editors, but eventually my fics always drive them away :)

How do your fics drive them away?

I eventually write or plan to write something that triggers them. Not in a huge way, just enough to decide it's time for them to nope on out.

I actually did a lot of writing today, about 2.3 k. I'm almost done. I think.

Discussion: It depends on the work. Some of it I do, because it's too big and I'm too close. Some of it... I honestly don't care about enough to get checked. Which is weird, I guess, but what I do.
