Really pleased with my Samurai Jack piece despite how fast it was cranked out. I never watched the show when it originally aired, just discovered it last year after the final season, and couldn't help falling in love with something so beautiful in a world where so much is deliberately created to be ugly. And I love the canon, so this isn't my better ending. Just a different ending:

Her Side of the Mountain (Ashi/Jack, T, major character death, 3,589 words)

The wedding goes off without a hitch, until they realize time is catching up with Jack. The story of Ashi, the day after and beyond.

Meanwhile, back on the old familiar Femslash Kink Meme front, it looks like I have one more in me this year, a classic Xena piece (though so far it's shaping up to be more emo than kink), and a fun little crossover idea I was working on is starting to demand more thinking and rationalization. This almost never ends well for anyone involved, especially when the object of your concern is the actual main premise of the story.

Did I say one more? Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in. No sooner did I finish and post the emo Xena piece than I started looking over the prompts I had left, making sure none of them struck my fancy. Lo and behold, one struck my fancy; another Buffy one, and this could be purely emo or as smutty as all get out. So we'll see, just how smutty does it want to be... (cue music)
