Check-in, Day 28

We've made it to Friday night! Does that mean finally a chance to focus on writing? Or have you got too much else going on for your Friday night?

The editing was cutting a scene out when I realized it wouldn't work; while I was in the middle of writing. Probably not the best method, but hopefully that's the last time it'll happen (doubtful...).

During one of the few times I was awake today, I actually thought about writing a bit! That's about as far as I got, but tomorrow's a new month, so maybe that'll be inspiring to actually write things down.

Nice! I hope the thought-about-writing train keeps chugging. If this suggestion helps, whenever I need a push to start writing I grab my notebook and start jotting down some ideas that come into mind (personally, my go-to is characters conversing between each other; plot wise or not). Mainly, it's to get the feel of the idea before really getting into the nitty-gritty of organizing and planning.

Either way, good luck!

That is a great suggestion, tbh. But I must know: How do you keep track of where the ideas are kept?

To be honest, it's all rough and a mess. There is a method to the madness, but it's more madness than method. Some times there's descriptions between the dialogue, or it's purely dialogue. And somehow, I still remember which chucks go to which WIP that I wrote down and shelved for the time being. Basically, it was so I didn't forget about them years later, and I wanted to revisit it and one day complete.

Such as, in my purple composition notebook, I have paragraphs of dialogue for a Monk AU-ish fanfic where the characters are in the 1840's trying to the solve the mysterious death of Edgar Allan Poe. It's all jumbled to no particular chapter, and that was pretty much how I managed my ideas.
