August WIP challenge sign-ups!

Sign-ups are now open for August's WIP challenge.

Some people join the challenge midmonth, or comment on check-in posts without signing up. That's fine, too -- I'm glad there's a way for the challenge to be useful in a variety of ways!

But for those of you who find the commitment of officially signing up useful, please sign up as below.

Signups will be open until the end of July.

• Level of challenge: 1 chapter, 1000 words, 1 fic finished, whatever you like
  
• Fandom(s) involved: if you know at this point
  
• What you're looking for from the challenge: this could be as vague or specific as you like: someone to be accountable to, someone to remind you to write, someone to bounce ideas off, etc.
  
• What you could offer other participants yourself: ditto!
  
• How people should contact you: DW message, e-mail, IM etc.
  
• Time zone: useful for seeing who might be up for a writing session at a time convenient to you

I couldn't continue to run this challenge without assistance with the daily check-in posts. Many thanks to everyone who's helped with the check-ins before!

I will definitely need help with check-ins in August, as I'll be moving (& I don't know exactly when nor where, sob yet, either). I can do August 1-6, but could I please have some volunteers for the rest of the month? A week per person would be ideal, if possible (I usually assign weeks running Sunday-Saturday just for consistency, but if that's difficult let me know). I'm happy to help come up with suggestions for discussion topics or other things to do for the check-ins if need be. Just let me know if you're able to help out. Thanks!

I've started a longer fic and the first rush of excitement and shininess is wearing off a little, so this suits me very well. :-) I'll be on vacation during parts of August, but the rest of the month I'd like to make some progress.

Level of challenge: Write at the very least 100 words each workday, 200 words each day off.

Fandom(s) involved: Cabin Pressure

What you're looking for from the challenge: Accountability and the general feeling of knowing that I'm not alone
What you could offer other participants yourself: Cheerleading, ass-kicking. Though as mentioned, I have an upcoming vacation in August.

August will be silly busy because I'm travelling down to England twice and also sorting out more (hopefully the last) bits for when I'm back at uni in September.

Level of challenge:Back in June I tried for a big goal and it didn't work so I'll be trying a different tack: 300w per day average and see how I go with that. I'm actually building towards a Big Bang entry now so I'm hoping I'll manage a bit more than that.

What you're looking for from the challenge: Just somewhere to tell it all I guess. I'd like to try a writing seesion or two this time around - if I can get AIM to cooperate.

I should have my Big Bang fic out of the way come August, so I can get back to working on my older WIPs that have been neglected for so long. I'm looking forward to doing some writing with less pressure -- but I still want the accountability of making them into challenges that need finishing!

I'll can do some check-in posts, but I'm not free the first half of August. If there aren't enough volunteers, I can take a week in the second half of the month.

Level of challenge: At least 10,000/15,000 words of my kinked big bang fic? I'm at 5k atm, and I still have September to write, but yes. At least another 5-10k on that, given I'll be studying at the same time.

Level of challenge: >750 words a day, hopefully adding 10K words to Big Project #1, editing at least one chapter of Big Project #2 and getting it public... maybe finishing some lingering one-shots.
