WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 4 -- Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday!  What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

       - I thought about my fic once or twice

       - I did some planning and/or outlining
       - I did research and/or canon review
       - I edited
       - I've sent my fic off to my beta
       - I posted today!
       - I'm taking a break
       - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Tuesday Discussion:  Today is a holiday in the U.S.  Are you able to write on holidays or are you too busy doing other holiday type things to focus on writing?

Yesterday's plans to write were unexpectedly destroyed by a crisis, and by the time it was over, my writing brain said no! So today is the day -- I am taking a holiday from the holiday (except for doing a bit of fun cooking) and I plan to spend the day writing and basically relaxing.

My writing yesterday was destroyed not by a crisis but by a loving relationship. Today is for writing; holiday celebrations for me are delayed a few days.

I wrote over 1,000 words today!

I was able to write today because I had no work! Hooray for the holiday!

Thankfully, I had no holiday plans except play movies to keep my cats calm throughout the booms and write. I didn't finish my fic, but I wrote a lot more of it, so that's good.
