WIP Check-in, Day 7

I've been too busy so far this month to do much more than edit old stuff and plan new stuff. After today, I hoping things settle and I can get down to brass tacks -- or whatever it takes to actually do some writing!

One thing that's going well = writing is on my mind, and ideas are bubbling near the surface, so it shouldn't take much to get something accomplished.

One thing that's not going well = Real Life. It's hindering me at the moment, keeping me from releasing those pent up ideas! Just need a bit of free time...

Been at uni all day and all I've had time for this evening is a rewatch of the ep I'm using for my big bang fic and also a couple of eps of SVU which I'm going to use for some my unused prompts from prompt_in_a_box.

Going well - scribbling down bits and bats
Not going well - getting some work done on a rough draft

No writing today -- I have a cold but went out to meet a friend & to go to a meeting this evening anyway. Plus a friend had something v. serious happen to her, so I've been worrying about her.

Overall though I think this month has been really good for fic so far *knock on wood*. I may meet all my goals for the month!

I forgot the discussion question! One thing going well: just that I seem to be able to churn out stuff at the moment & then edit it down to usable stuff. One thing not going well: The Quest for Titles, augh.

Decided to write a bit more of my Big Bang and got 1,000 words in! Was also going to do some editing, but bleh suddenly not feeling well. I seriously need to get that fourth chapter edited, which is...soon. >.>;

One thing that's going well is able to get the dialogue flow better this time around. What's not going well is not get my butt off to do editing, oi.

I thought I'd try something different. Usually, direct speech takes up 20 % of my texts at the most, so I decided to flip that for once and see if I can write a ficlet based heavily on dialogue. Uh... I guess I'll keep trying....

A thing that is going well with my writing: I'm up to almost 4k and positive that I'll finish it soon-ish. I'm also satisfied with a lot of little details in it and how the relationship works out, including little flashes that the narrator might not be reliable in how he sees it. A thing that is not going so well: still struggling with the flashback. Something about it just doesn't sit right yet. Why does this character have to have so many issues??
