Get Your Words Out is a year long writing event where participants 'pledge' to dofferent goals. There's even a dedicated website! Signups are closed for 2025, but they'll be open again in December! Part of the event includes check ins where you report your progress. There's no scoldings or such, they just use the data for community progress graphs & such.
I'm noooot super active on Dreamwidth, so I can't really tell you much about the community itself. They've got plenty of resources and discussions from past events, though.
I'd check it out! The community (on DW at least) seems relatively active, so there's a nice social aspect.
