WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 18 -- Sunday

 Hello on Sunday! What kind of a writing day has it been so far today -- or if today hasn't gotten going yet, how did you fare yesterday?

Sunday Discussion:  It's a new writing week, and that means a fresh start. Maybe you had a great writing week last week, or maybe last week wasn't the greatest for getting writing things done -- what kind of goals do you have for keeping up your momentum or starting off fresh this week?

I had one day last week where I actually wrote something for my WIP but then life got busy and I couldn't get back to it. My goal for this new week is to make time every day (in spite of being busy) to open the file, look at what I have written, and add to it -- even if it is just a few words! I don't have to spend hours at it, just a few minutes every day.

I just finished writing my rough summary of chapter two, and I just started writing chapter three's summary.

Last week hasn't been great for writing; I couldn't stay consistent in my writing because of my perfectionism and general life stuff. So from now on, I decided to write down rough summaries of each of the chapters since I have an idea on how the story should go. Hopefully, I'll have the completed rough summaries for the whole story, and start filling in the details from there.

I took a break/did a canon review, as I'm insanely close to finishing the first arc of my story, which I guess is less a single thing and more spread across multiple fics.

My main goals for this week is to sit down and outline the companion fic once I finish the last chapter. I'm hoping it sits around 4k to 5k, but there are some things I may need to add to the little outline I threw together.

I finished a half-done chapter yesterday, and got another short chapter written this afternoon. I'm having a bit of a burst of energy, so I'm hoping I'll have time later today to start in on the next one - I'm getting into some exciting plot territory that I've got pretty well outlined, which usually makes the writing go quicker (or at least feel like it).

Yesterday I finished cross-posting everything I wanted to post onto DW over from Ao3, so now that that's finished, I'm hoping to have more time to write in the coming weeks. But we'll see. Energy comes and goes, and real life has many responsibilities. I hope eternally for the best, but set no specific goals so I'm not disappointed when life doesn't align for me to meet them. The writing gets done eventually either way.
