WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 30 -- Tuesday

Hello on Tuesday!  How are things going in the world of fic?

Did you write?

   - Yes!
   - No!
   - Not yet!

If yes, what kind of writerly activity did you engage in?  How do you feel about it?
If no, what were the obstacles/situations that affected your writerly pursuits?  What will you do differently tomorrow to get more writing done?
If not yet, because the day hasn't gotten going yet, what kind of writing activity are you planning (or hoping) to accomplish?

Yes, I wrote yesterday, getting some things written on a couple different projects -- also some editing happened. Today I am planning more of the same!

I attempted to complete my one-shot, but failed to come up with a sentence/concept that could give it the turn I wanted, or indeed any turn that would make for a suitable conclusion. Although I did manage to spot and patch a plot hole caused by my changing my mind as to what my characters were actually up to!

However, I then became distracted by trying to trace the history of the lyricist who had written the Russian ballad I'd just translated, and then further distracted by finally identifying why one of the *other* songs on the same album sounded so weirdly familiar... it turns out that the Andrews Sisters hit "Bei mir bist du schön" had been rewritten by a Soviet lyricist with some *very* different lyrics. No wonder I couldn't place the tune!
So I feel accomplished, but didn't actually accomplish any writerly forward progress...
