WIP Challenge Check-in, Day 17 -- Friday

Hello on Friday!  Looking back at the day today -- or yesterday, if today hasn't gotten going yet -- how did it go?

   - I thought about my fic once or twice
   - I wrote
   - I did some planning and/or research
   - I edited
   - I've sent my fic off to my beta
   - I posted today!
   - I'm taking a break
   - I did something else that I'll talk about in a comment

Looking forward, how are you planning to spend your weekend?

   - I'm going to make up for not writing all week by having a writing marathon
   - I'm going to keep writing at my current rate and see how it goes
   - I have other plans, but I might have time to get some writing in
   - I'm going to take a break from writing

I have been thinking about my fic, but so far I have only managed some planning and research and tweaking the outline. All useful, of course! Today will be devoted to writing once I get my housework done (hopefully that won't take too long, but it really does need to get done or I won't be able to concentrate on my writing!).

I'm trying to write every day. One thing I've noticed is that as I get further into writing the chapter I'm working on, my daily wordcount goes up until I'm easily writing 500-1000 words on the last day or two before I want to post it (helps that I've had two fics on the go at once over the last couple of months or so, my longfic and various one-shots).

So, I managed about 16 words today, and feel fine with that. The wordcount creeps up, slowly but surely.

Wrote some! On the wrong wip, but who's counting :D

Planning on the regular (recent) rate of writing over the weekend, but who knows - weekends are hard!
