Good day, fellow writers!  It's afternoon where I am and thankfully not as hot as it has been of late.

How's your writing day going?
  • I wrote
  • I edited
  • I researched/plotted/outlined
  • I sent work to my beta
  • I posted
  • I procrastinated
  • I took a break
  • I __________ (fill in the blank)
Discussion question(s) for the day:  When you are among those who are struggling with getting words down on paper/into your word processor, do you find it helpful to read the daily check-in post and see others who are also struggling?  On the other hand, when others are posting about their success and you're not having any, does it spur you on to keep plugging away, or is it actually a bit discouraging?

I sent work to my beta

I feel motivated other people's success and felt relief that I'm not the only one who's stumped in my writing when I see others' struggle.

Didn't write at all on the 9th, although I am doing a canon refresher, so I suppose that counts for something.

When I am struggling with writing, I don't find daily check-ins helpful, which is why I kind of disappear from this comm whenever I'm not actively writing, :/
If I'm struggling, reading about other people's successes generally makes me feel guilty/bad about my lack of writing "skills." This is something I'm working on.
