Date: Friday, August 3rd, 2012 03:53 (UTC)I love action/adventure and romance. I'm more capable of the former than later. It's comfortable for me to think action/adventure plot, but for romance, I'm known to need build up of more than 10K to finally get my charcters together.

Date: Friday, August 3rd, 2012 07:08 (UTC)My favourite genre is probably some sort of casefic/mystery, though I do like a lot of lighter stuff when I'm reading fic. The last couple of things I've written have been casefic and I'm feeling quite good about them.

Date: Friday, August 3rd, 2012 08:48 (UTC)I like reading humour and also anything that's dark and angsty, sometimes fluff too. I feel comfortable with writing angst and fluff, often combining them for a flangst fest :)
I'd love to but I can't seem write humour and it for me is a big thing as there is a lot of laughter and joking in my RL. The few times I've written humour it's come across as clunky.

Date: Saturday, August 4th, 2012 01:31 (UTC)My fave is a tie between fluff and crack. I'm all for ridiculousness, laughter and happy endings where it comes to writing my own fic. That's not to say that I can't write more serious/angstier stories (I have.) For me, part of what keeps me motivated to get a plot bunny from "idea in my head" to "actually posted story" is having fun.

Date: Saturday, August 4th, 2012 05:25 (UTC)Just took a long trip in the cool morning air and now I intend to force myself to write something.
My favourite genre would be romance stories with a distinctive powerimbbalance between the involved parties. Of course only if it is written well. Means not crap like Twilight - but vampire/mortal love stories are an example. It can of course also be something different. I am usually very comfortable writing them, not sure if I am any good at it.
