What's your favorite genre of fic? Is it something you feel comfortable writing yourself, or do your think your talents lie elsewhere?

I wrote 2000 words to my Alice in Holy Grail War fic. It's on the track so far.

I love action/adventure and romance. I'm more capable of the former than later. It's comfortable for me to think action/adventure plot, but for romance, I'm known to need build up of more than 10K to finally get my charcters together.

Wrote another (very short) snippet of a Yu-Gi-Oh AU :D
I generally like stories about adventure and friendship *_* It's also what I prefer writing most of the time. I'm pretty bad at romance X-D

Added 850 words to my bigbang and realised that I had misjudged where the halfway point was. *headdesk* The good news is that I now know that I'm past the halfway point! Yay!

My favourite genre is probably some sort of casefic/mystery, though I do like a lot of lighter stuff when I'm reading fic. The last couple of things I've written have been casefic and I'm feeling quite good about them.

I made a few notes from this weeks ep of Rizzoli & Isles on my tablet for Don't Fade Into The Midnight. I think that these notes I have and the ones from last week's ep will be combined because there's no real need for me to have 2 chapters with near identical scenarios. Still waiting for Tommy to actually reappear so I can have some new Maura/Tommy scenes for added inspiration.

I like reading humour and also anything that's dark and angsty, sometimes fluff too. I feel comfortable with writing angst and fluff, often combining them for a flangst fest :)
I'd love to but I can't seem write humour and it for me is a big thing as there is a lot of laughter and joking in my RL. The few times I've written humour it's come across as clunky.

Ended up focusing on my mix (and finishing it!) rather than write yesterday. This weekend's going to be all about tackling my BBB draft so I didn't feel as guilty as I normally would.

My fave is a tie between fluff and crack. I'm all for ridiculousness, laughter and happy endings where it comes to writing my own fic. That's not to say that I can't write more serious/angstier stories (I have.) For me, part of what keeps me motivated to get a plot bunny from "idea in my head" to "actually posted story" is having fun.

Two Words: Writer's Block

Just took a long trip in the cool morning air and now I intend to force myself to write something.

My favourite genre would be romance stories with a distinctive powerimbbalance between the involved parties. Of course only if it is written well. Means not crap like Twilight - but vampire/mortal love stories are an example. It can of course also be something different. I am usually very comfortable writing them, not sure if I am any good at it.
