Okay, WIP-ers, how's your fic going today?

I'm handing over daily check-in posts now--thank you to everyone who's volunteered for this month! As a reminder, they'll now be done as follows:

• Feb 6-12: in_lighter_ink

Also thanks to the others who offered--we ran out of days in the month. ;)

If you can't do check-ins on a particular day or can't do your assigned streak, just let me know & we'll find someone else.

I did some decent editing on two different fics today (a Princess Nine one & an Otome Youkai Zakuro one). I'm now convinced neither one of them will have to be abandoned! They still need loads of work (particularly the Zakuro one) but now I believe that they'll be worth the effort!

Nearly finished one fic! Probably another 800 words or so to go.

Not as much writing done as I'd intended thought - distracted by discovering some new fanfic. *sigh*

Yay! It's always good to know that a fic won't be abandoned. *looks at wip folder and winces at how long some of them have been sitting there*

I actually wrote some words! :-D Only about 200, but it was something. And they are usable, so that's good, too. I always find the first few lines of a new chapter the hardest to come up with, but with that out of the way, I should be able to add to the chapter much more easily.

I only write ~1600 words today. Hopefully I will do better tomorrow.

Hee, I know that feeling too! The good thing is, sometimes when I stumble upon a really old snippet, I see something good there that I didn't see before... I only wish it would happen more!

Ohhhhh the siren song of new fanfic. It is tricky to resist, indeed! I think when Yuletide went up there was just no way, even if I hadn't been w/relatives & not in a writing mode anyway, that I was going to write fic for a while.

Woohoo! 200 words of usable writing is a good start, especially if beginnings are the hardest for you.

HAHAHAHA for you that is low indeed, but for many of us that would be a miracle. ;) Still, good luck getting back up to your normal speed!
