I'm alllliiiiiiiive. :)

Well, since I last commented here, I FINISHED MY WIP! :) Yes, the giant sex, drugs, and rock & roll Sherlock AU of doom, Pull the Stars from the Sky is finished and posted at about 68,000 words. *flop*

I've also discovered and started using 750words, and have been working on my next fic through there. It's another AU, since my fic motto right now seems to be WRITE ALL THE AUs.

I've missed you guys! RL kind of knocked me for a loop there, but hopefully I'll be back around more often now.

I'm side-eying the part of my brain that piped up about the Lord of the Rings and Bionicle fusion/crossover/thing. Fusion thing. Middle-Earth with more and more varied hobbits and weirder things coming out of Mordor. And it may or may not involve Rings but if the Rings of Power are mentioned they'll be a side thing because who needs those when you have hobbits (and a few Men, Elves, Dwarves, and possibly Eagles) defending the Shire against evil snakemen? ... and shut up brain, I am not making Mata Nui an Istari I am not I am not I will take it into consideration

Also I'm contemplating a six-chapter series of drabbleish things, six drabbleishes in each chapter, and one chapter for each of the Toa-turned-Turaga Metru. Title: Fake It 'Til You Make It. Summary: "Despite what the Turaga might pretend, they didn't all get infusion of cryptic knowledge the instant they transformed. Or, six times each of the Toa-turned-Turaga Metru made it up as they went." Things being made up on the fly will include that "In the time before time" spiel, just why the Turaga hid Metru Nui's existence from the Matoran (and what any lingering memories of it were called instead), and every single time the Turaga have ever referred to prophesies.

Speaking of prophesies and seeing the future, that reminds me that I have this idea on the back burner about why Nixie's the astrologer on Mata Nui (where there are REAL STARS and constellations are SHEER DUMB LUCK). Brainstorming it may have involved saying "crosswired freak who has weird daydreams" and giggling maniacally.
Edited (... as for the Flamingo, all I have to do is see I've managed posting TWO OF THE THINGS :D) Date: Friday, August 17th, 2012 20:16 (UTC)

I am still down, haven't written anything.

Re-reading good reviews usually does not help. Either they are very generic like "Cool fic, write more" or they are nice thoughtful pleads to continue my WIPs and make me feel even more guilty about not feeling like continuing with them.

No writing, but I did decide how to approach the scene. There are two threads of events that I have to juggle, and I was having trouble balancing them. I'm going to focus on one of them with the intention of inserting the second after the fact. I think that will help a lot.

I keep all of the feedback I get in a separate e-mail folder. The intention is that I can go back and read it again later, but in practice, I don't tend to look at it. Perhaps I should. It might motivate me to write faster.
