My apologies for not posting this until after midnight my time; I had some distressing health news today.
However, this does lead into our discussion question: What do you do when real life infringes on what you want to write about? Whether it's by time, or finding a novel that STOLE YOUR IDEA GRRRRRR (even if it was written 20 years previously ;) ) or just because you can't spare the energy... how do you deal with it?
