Discussion: fic recs. I'm not sure if we've ever had this before or not, so let's have a fic rec session today. As we're all in different fandoms, everything including pairings and ratings are fair go but for fic rated R or higher pop a wee note for content and any potential triggers.
1. Getting Old Together by Jhaernyl Cold Case fic with Lilly/Nick pairing, rated K+. My other half suggested this to me and I liked it because it has my favourite CC pairing and there are hardly any fic out there with them as it is. The timeline, I think, is after the final season but I'm not 100% certain because for me L/N could have happened at anytime in the series.
2. The Yearning by Shonetta Star Trek: Voyager fic with Janeway/Chakotay pairing, rated M (content dealing with rape). I came across this purely by accident and I'm about 1/3 of the way through this (45 chapters) and so far I'm enjoying it but it is heavy going with a few nicely timed touches of humour to lighten up the serious subject matter. The timeline is pre Caretaker with references to one or two of the tie-in novels and goes back to when Kathryn was still a cadet at Starfleet Academy right up to getting stranded in the Delta Quadrant.
