When we write fic, we mostly work with canonical characters. They can be kind of slippery, and getting the details right takes work. Are there any characters who come easily to you? Characters who are nearly impossible to write?

I have a really easy time writing Kudoh Yohji from Weiss Kreuz. I have a particular voice for him, and I'm sure of it in all its variations. On the other hand, I really struggle with Farfarello (also from Weiss Kreuz). In canon, he's vicious and probably unbalanced. I have difficulty grasping his motivations and making them fit into a story. Mostly, I avoid writing him altogether, but I was really pleased when I managed to work him into a story last fall and keep him (I think) in character. That was a first.
