Hello, writers! Welcome to our first check-in/writing sprint of the week. In the comments below you'll find a comment thread for each hour block of our 9 am - 12 pm time window for the sprint. Please keep voting for time slot options for this week if the current window doesn't work for you. We'll be doing a sprint on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday as well (these will also be our check-in days for the week). You can pick more than one time slot in the poll. If a time slot gets enough votes I'll be adding it to our time window.
If you don't know what a writing sprint is, no worries. It's rather simple. For an allotted amount of time, you'll be writing as much as you can on a writing goal. You can work on your fic, an outline, or plan your fic as long as you're writing. While this is an activity you can do on your own, some writers like doing writing sprints together for the sense of companionship and community. It can be nice to know someone is working on something at the same time you are, and you can talk to them while you work, too.
Whether you're participating in the writing sprint or not, feel free to check-in like usual. Here are our discussion prompts for the day!

- Are you writing anything for Halloween?
- Have you met your goals for October? If not, do you plan to carry them into November or start fresh on new goals?
