Date: Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 14:07 (UTC)YES YES I DO GET OUT OF MY HEAD FLAMINGO. I usually end up writing my posted fics in present tense because why not, but I find myself slipping into past tense because most fics are and also my collab writing (DING DONG THE THING IS DEAD) was in past tense. I also slipped into present tense on occasion while helping write that, but that wasn't as often as I slip into past when writing present. Present sounds better to me for my fics, but past is... decent. And the industry standard so I s'pose I'd better get used to it. XD

Date: Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 21:23 (UTC)I tend to write past tense all the time as I find it more consistent. Sometimes in my outlining and notes I'll switch between tenses but only for the purposes of reminding myself what scene is next.
