How did this month go for you? Did you meet your goals? Did you make enough progress, whether or not you met them, that you're satisfied? Are you struggling? Did you learn anything about your writing process over the month?

I didn't actually write today, but yesterday I wrote up an idea and did the research that goes with it for a prompt I've been assigned for next month.

As for this month, I made some progress towards my goals -- I finished one thing on my list of short things to finish, and did research and brainstorming that brought me closer to writing a WIP chapter. I also spent some time thinking about what keeps me from being able to write, and I realized that I'm probably in a different stage of life now that is less conducive to writing the way I used to be able to, not just with time restraints but with stress that makes me feel like not working my brain to hard afterwards. ;-) Writing is still a priority for me, but I also think I'm learning to be flexible and letting it get me down when writing time doesn't work out.

I made notes for a prompt fic, and also made notes on my print out of my goal fic yesterday. It isn't what I wanted to do but the notes will definetley help with the later sections.

I didn't meet my goals this month as I had a disruptive month and it was hard to focus with all the RL things, I have the same goals for this month coming up and hopefully I can make some more progress. The only thing that I struggle with is dealing with disruptions and keeping focus on my writing. When I lose my focus on a fic it is very hard to get back to it, I need to find a way to focus better.

I got nowhere near my goals but I'm surprisingly okay with that. I think I really needed the chance to recharge my batteries so this month should go better.

I have a story in my head and it is lovely to keep imagining it. :)

Writing for me always come later in the day, so when I answer the poll there's been no writing yet, but it is coming!
