Tell us about what you'll be working on: what you're looking forward to, what makes you nervous, etc.

I haven't signed in for this month's challenge but I'll be checking in from time to time regardless. Hope nobody minds. :)

Today I wrote and posted a new chapter of my A.I.: Artificial Intelligence Professor Hobby/Gigolo Joe robot!porn piece, "La Vie en Rose" (NC-17), and got a good bit of the way into writing the next (and final) chapter. So, yay!

I spent several hours researching ideas for a couple of prompts I've been assigned for some upcoming challenges. I also did a bit of outline tweaking for one of my goal WIPs. It was really restful to have a big chunk of time to research to my heart's content, and I just followed the rabbit trails my ideas led me on -- the result was a lot of good ideas and some facts to back them up. Now I have to decide which one I want to write!

I'm working on a short one-shot that's almost written in my head, just have to get it typed out, hopefully intact and as good in reality as it seems in my head. I'll also be starting on a story for a Yule fic exchange, and I have a chapter begging to be written for my WIP that is my main goal for the month. Gotta stop researching and just write it!

I'm looking forward to writing something new with some new original characters; I'm nervous about the month getting out of hand and being too busy to write. I'm going to do everything possible for it to be a restful month conducive to writing, however!

I did 2K on my Nanowrimo. It's my first year doing it and I feel nervous. Hopefully I can keep the streak.

I buckled down to start editing a fic that's been sitting and stewing in its own juices since August. Things are pretty dire.

Wrote a little. Mostly set-up the range of fics I'll be working on, so I don't go too crazy.

I'm trying a new strategy. I'll work on whatever I'm in the mood for, even if it's different from what I wrote yesterday. Not sure if it'll work, but sticking to one fic until it's done hasn't, so it's worth a shot~

Got started on my Ladystuck Exchange fic. Off to a slow but good start, already thought up some scenes I'll want to use. Am quite excited about it! Other plans for this month are getting back to my [livejournal.com profile] help_japan fic and editing my fic for [community profile] homesmut kikmeme.

Last month was rough for me because I caught a terrible cold that derailed most of my writing attempts and forced me to scramble to finish the fics I had to write for an exchange. I'm hoping that this month will be better, and I think I can make my goals to finish at least one of my half-written WIPs.

Still worried a bit about my Yuletide assignment. I offered rather a lot of fandoms this time around, so I've no idea what I'll be matched on or if my recipient will be looking for something that I can deliver.

Working on what I'm in the mood for is the only real way I can keep my own writing momentum going when I start to stall. If I try to force myself to stick to one fic, I only get frustrated, so even if I can get just a few sentences of dialogue or a descriptive paragraph on a fic when I try to work on it, it adds up over time.

Good for you.

I have some stories boiling on the back burner that I need to get to too. I do too much "ooh, new shiny idea! Must chase after," and away I go .

Theresa

Go for it :). Good job on the 2k.

Ok, so (nt) (no text) in the subject doesn't work on dreamwidth. Hmmm.

Anyhow, good job on the 2k. I've written some, but not that much. Hoping to make that up tomorrow, because I don't chat and write at the same time very well. My friends are online for our weekly chat, chicken that I am :D.

Keep writing!

Theresa
