writethisfanficAnother day, another check in post. I just had to cut about five hundred words from my Yuletide story because the direction it took wasn't working. I hate when that happens. Hopefully writing is continuing for all of you, too.

How do you feel about your writing today? Is it going great? Would you rather not talk about it?
For discussion-- Do you write linearly, scene by scene from beginning to end, or do you skip around, writing things as they come to you and stitching them together later? I tend to write linearly. I often don't know exactly what's going to happen next and don't have enough planned out to be able to skip any steps. There's one WIP that's an exception to that, but it may never see the light of day. I haven't done anything with it in about a decade.
