Heh fellow fanfic writers - half-time! Just two days away from a scary long weekend ...
But first the obligatory questions:
Did you ...
... wrote anything?
... edited something?
... had contact with your beta?
... worked hard all day, were pestered on your off time and then fell into a deep sleep?
I guess we all write fanfic for fun, some of us have the ambition to become the best writers we can while others just pour all their dreams and wishes into a story and mostof us are probably in between. Some of us have have rigid ideas about what constitutes in character behaviour and others feel more inclined to experiment.
In short I would be curious how you would describe yourself? Have you noticed any changes in all the time you have been writing?

Date: Wednesday, December 19th, 2012 20:36 (UTC)When I started out writing, I wanted to learn but most of all I wanted to play and have fun. Then I became ambitious about getting the characters right, eventually I loosened up. I still want to stay close to the original, however having a very narrow view is very restricting. Because as soon as the canons end up in unfamiliar and different situation - it becomes really hard to confidently determine how they might re-act.

Date: Thursday, December 20th, 2012 04:50 (UTC)I would describe myself as someone who gets ideas for stories and has realized the ability to tell them in a way that others enjoy. I am someone who likes to fill in the gaps of canon or look at a familiar event from a different point of view in an attempt to see something new. One change I have noticed about myself is that I really don't seem to mind anymore if I don't get many reviews or obvious reads when I post chapters or stories -- I get a lot of pleasure in just writing the story for myself!
