writethisfanficI hope the writing has been going well for all of you. I'm making progress. I heard back from my second beta reader, and I'm editing my chapter. I've also started in on the next chapter.
For discussion-- Have you ever written a story with a picture (painting, photograph, whatever), sculpture, song or other similar thing as the inspiration? This could be either with the inspiration in question as the source canon or with it inspiring a story in another fandom entirely.
I don't think that I have done this. It sounds like something that would be interesting to try, though. I'm more intrigued by the idea of something triggering a story in a different canon than in it being the canon itself. I've seen the latter done in Yuletide (to excellent effect), so I'm less curious about it.
